After having brain surgery and a stroke I was unable to read as I could no longer track sentence's. After working with Okanagan Vision Therapy, I am now back to reading again. Dr. Walker, Therapist, Lizzy Raye and administrative Guru, Sheri Linquist were all great to work with and helped me reach my goal to read again.

This team is exceptional. I cannot recommend them enough. People do not realize the benefit and luck we have in Kelowna to have a developmental Optometrist in our area. When they initially opened there were only 4 in the country! They can help children and adults overcome vision issues that can be misdiagnosed as ADHD and other conditions. They can vastly improve sports performance through sports vision training. The kind of things that Manny Pacquiao and Stephan Curry and other incredible athletes use to maximize performance. Everyone at OVT was very friendly, and warm with me and my daughter (the patient) the dr made the intake and assessment fun. We didn't feel rushed and the Dr made sure to explain everything well and checked multiple times if we had any questions.

Okanagan vision therapy saved my life! After my first concussion I suffered from post concussion syndrome and did not find Vision therapy until almost 2 years of suffering. When every other professional was telling me “after 2 years this is as good as it is going to get”. The doctors, receptionists and therapist were exceptional and the therapy effective. They laid out the plan, taught me well, and I put in the work. The results were life changing. 5 years later I suffered my second concussion and started therapy right away. The recovery was much shorter. It is like my body and brain remembered the path to recovery and the plan was in place from day one. I am forever grateful and recommend Vision Therapy to any concussion sufferers I meet. If you have coverage or not it is worth it YOU are worth it. Do not delay!

The team at Okanagan Vision Therapy were fantastic! From the first assessment, through the engaging and thoughtfully structured sessions, to our final assessment, they provided clear information and explanations about each step of the process, ensuring that we (myself and my daughter who was completing the therapy) always understood what was being worked on and why. I can't say enough good things about Dr Paul and his team at Okanagan Vision Therapy! Not only have they helped me with my own vision issues, but I have also referred some of my students to them, and seen great results. They are kind, caring, and highly skilled. I am amazed at the number of different functions of the eyes that they can assess and treat. Who knew vision was so much beyond 20/20? I have personal experience through myself and my students getting excellent treatment and result from OKVT on convergence and tracking issues, as well as amblyopia (lazy eye) and visual safety concerns stemming from concussion and autism spectrum disorder. If you have had a concussion, are on the autism spectrum, or have a child with reading, focus, or other learning challenges, I whole heartedly recommend booking an assessment with Okanagan Vision Therapy.
